Kevin Geurink
Pastor
Kevin accepted the call to the church in August of 2020. He is a native of Rothschild, WI, and a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College (2010) and of the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities (2015). His first position out of seminary was as a Pastoral Resident at First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro, NC. That is a 2 year program where recent seminary graduates learn how to minister in a large congregation and then are mentored along the way. Then they gratefully send residents on to serve in other churches. Kevin was then the pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Logan WV, a small church in a coal producing area of WV. He had a great experience there with a loving congregation, but then felt it was time for him and his family to move on. Kevin has been very excited to learn the history of the church and to serve this wonderful congregation.
Kevin has been married to Sara since 2015. They are the proud parents of twins, Scarlet and Lacey, and son Ethan. Sara teaches English Learners math at the Senior High and is glad that she has made the transition from Elementary to High School. Kevin and Sara are excited to be first time homeowners on the SW side of town.
In his spare time, Kevin likes to officiate College and High School Football, Wrestling and Baseball. Otherwise, Kevin and Sara are generally busy with their active children and dog, Sid.
